ZANTHO Zweigelt Reserve 2022
has been selected by the best Zweigelt grapes of the vintage and is characterised by a deep purple colour with a ruby rim. In the nose the wine shows an incredibly fine and deep fruit which remembers of fresh cheries, blackberries and oriental spices. On the palate the wine shows a deep fruit supported by a fine spiciness. The Zweigelt Reserve ends in a very long finish of chocolate and spices. Contains sulfites €22.53/Liter
Zweigelt is not an indigenous Austrian grape variety but a crossing of famous Blaufränkisch x Sankt Laurent done by viticultural professor Dr. Zweigelt in the early 1920s. The variety became the most planted and prominent red grape variety in Austria and its neighboring countries.
