Vintage 2006

A long and snowy winter ensured that the ground water levels recovered. Winter was followed by a mild spring with sufficient amounts of rain – the vines enjoyed a smooth bud burst and they grew quickly. Blossoming also occurred without further complications. July was hot and dry followed by a moderate month of August. Harvest began mid of September accompanied by beautiful weather. It is rare that harvest was as uncomplicated as 2006. All in all, we only had one day of interruption due to rain. The last day of harvest was the 8th of October. We were very satisfied with our healthy and ripe grapes and our satisfactory yield.
