Description
ZANTHO Trockenbeerenauslese 2019: a sweet wine of extremes
Our Zantho Trockenbeerenauslese 2019 is made from Grüner Veltliner and shows a deep golden colour with bright yellow reflexes. In the nose it is marked by deep aromas of stone fruit, quinces and figs with a touch of pepper. On the palate our wine seduces with impressions of white chocolate, raisins, figs and dried yellow fruit which end, backed-up by a fine acidity, in a long and smooth finish. The wine has been harvested at an exceptional harvest degree of 38° KMW which can be reached very rarely. An exceptional sweet wine that has been awarded best sweet wine in Burgenland wine challenge that shows huge aging-potential. € 53.07/Liter
Our sweet wines are marked by a high, completely natural sugar concentration of the berries. This can be obtained by a very late harvest and the so called noble rot (Botrytis cinerea) which leads to a further concentration of the sugar levels. The region “Seewinkel” counts together with regions like Tokay in Hungary or Sauternes in France to the best sweet wine appellations world-wide.
